Job summary

Alliance College-Ready Public Schools is seeking a Director of Language Acquisition and Instruction to ensure multilingual learners access daily instruction and grow language proficiency. You will lead ELD strategies, support LTMLLs, and supervise two Instructional Specialists, reporting to the VP of Diverse Learners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university.
• 4+ years of school leadership or systems leadership experience in bilingual education, language acquisition instruction, English language development, or related field.
• 5+ years of classroom bilingual or language development teaching experience in an urban school setting.

Responsibilities

• Strengthen ELD strategy and instructional model, aligning with network goals.
• Lead data-review cycles using metrics like ELPAC, ELPI, and reclassification rates.
• Coach and mentor two Instructional Specialists with regular feedback and growth opportunities.
• Collaborate with Home Office teams to implement Integrated ELD strategies across multiple schools.
