Job summary

Alliance College-Ready Public Schools is seeking a Director of Language Acquisition and Instruction to ensure multilingual learners access daily instruction and gain language proficiency. You will lead ELD programming, coach two Instructional Specialists, and collaborate with the Diverse Learners team to align with network goals.

The role requires extensive expertise in ELD, data analysis (ELPAC, ELPI), and system‑level leadership across multiple schools, with a focus on equity and student

Qualifications

• 4+ years of school leadership or systems leadership experience in bilingual education, language acquisition instruction, or a related field.
• 5+ years of classroom bilingual or language development teaching experience in an urban school setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead data‑informed English Language Development strategy and instructional model implementation.
• Coach and mentor two Instructional Specialists and report to VP, Diverse Learners.
• Collaborate with school leaders to monitor multilingual learner progress and adjust supports.
• Support curriculum selection and use of instructional technology for multilingual scholars.
• Partner with Diverse Learners and Teaching & Learning teams to design year‑long learning plans.
• Present engaging ELD sessions with practical tools for teachers.
