Job summary

Alliance College-Ready Public Schools in Los Angeles seeks a Director of Language Acquisition and Instruction to ensure multilingual learners access daily instruction and grow language proficiency. The role requires leadership experience with English Language Development programs and data-driven improvement across multiple schools.

You will coach two Instructional Specialists, report to the VP of Diverse Learners, and collaborate across Home Office teams to advance LTMLL and RFEP outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university.
• 4+ years of school leadership or systems leadership experience in bilingual education, language acquisition instruction, English language development, or a related field
• 5+ years of classroom bilingual or language development teaching experience in an urban school setting

Responsibilities

• Strengthen ELD strategy across curriculum, assessments, and supports.
• Lead data-review cycles using ELPAC, ELPI, reclassification, and benchmarks.
• Coach two Instructional Specialists and mentor staff.
• Collaborate with Home Office on Integrated ELD strategies and policies.
