Job summary

Nexstar Media Inc. in Green Bay seeks a decisive leader to guide the regional sales team, overseeing digital and broadcast revenue, strategic client development, and staff performance.

The Director of Sales will set budgets, manage inventory and forecasting, and collaborate with other departments to grow national and local advertising across OTT, video, social, and data products. This role reports to the VP/General Manager and requires a strong track record in media sales.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising or Mass Communications, or equivalent experience.
• Fluency in English.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Minimum five years' experience in media sales.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Experience leading, directing and motivating subordinates and setting performance standards.
• Experience establishing long-range objectives and specifying the strategies and actions to achieve them.
• Ability to coach and mentor others to improve skills.
• Proficiency with broadcasting-related software, traffic systems, apps and CRMs.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership for the digital/broadcast sales teams.
• Makes decisions regarding hiring, evaluation, promotion and termination of employees.
• Develops and executes sales strategies to exceed revenue targets across platforms.
• Drives new business development with high-profile clients.
• Create customized media plans across OTT, video, social, data and more.
• Work cooperatively with other department heads to advance staff, product and revenue.
• Fluency in ad technology and video advertising with strong presentation skills.
• Stay current in the rapidly developing media and advertising environment.
• Network and develop relationships with key community and advertising partners.
• Manages inventory and revenue forecasting.
• Manages recruitment and development of sales professionals.
• Prepares budgets and approves expenditures.
