Job summary

Eight Sleep seeks a senior mechanical/product design lead in San Francisco to oversee the development of our Pod and future products. You will drive cross-functional execution, ensure design for manufacturability, and mentor a high-performance team.

The role reports to the Chief Product Officer and requires building products from concept to production, with a focus on top-tier performance and user experience.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience developing complex electromechanical systems such as consumer electronics, automotive, or medical devices.
• 2+ years directly managing mechanical and product design engineers.
• Deep knowledge of injection molding, electronics/sensor integration, and mechanism design; proficiency with thermal engineering, fluid systems, actuators, and soft goods is desirable.
• Experience scaling products to high-volume production in Asia; expertise in DFM/DFA, tolerance analysis, and GD&T.
• Willingness and ability to travel to China as needed.
