Job summary

Eight Sleep is seeking a senior leader for our mechanical/product design engineering team in San Francisco. You will oversee development of electromechanical products, including the Pod and a roadmap of future products.

The role reports to the Chief Product Officer and is based at the SF office five days a week. You will drive the hardware roadmap, collaborate with electrical, software, sensing, operations, marketing, and finance teams, and build a world-class engineering team through hiring,

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in developing complex electromechanical systems.
• 2+ years directly managing mechanical and product design engineers.
• BSME or equivalent. Willingness to travel to China as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of mechanical engineering across the full development cycle.
• Manage mechanical, soft goods, and prototype & test engineers.
• Provide technical leadership on cross-functional trade-offs and architectural decisions.
