Job summary

Electives, a Boston-based live learning platform, seeks a Director of Learning Experience to own content strategy, instructor selection, and program design for enterprise clients. You forecast demand, recruit and coach instructors, and align programs with client goals.

You’ll manage the instructor community and class calendar, set quality standards, and scale operations with data-driven decision making, clear communication, and a startup pace.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in learning and development or learning design.
• Experience helping HR leaders decide where to spend a learning budget.
• Proven ability to find, vet, and coach instructors.
• Comfort making decisions from data: bookings, NPS, attendance, surveys.
• Startup pace with operational discipline and timely delivery.
• Clear writing and confident speaking, including webinars.
• Bonus: experience running live virtual learning at scale or AI upskilling programs.

Responsibilities

• Forecast content demand twice a year from client requests, class data, and market trends.
• Recruit, vet, onboard, and coach instructors to fill forecasted gaps.
• Design learning programs for specific learner groups and use AI skills.
• Work with clients to understand goals and recommend programs and instructors.
• Own the Membership class calendar and ensure high-quality class pages and instructors.
• Establish processes to maintain class quality as we grow.
