Reflection, a frontier AI company in San Francisco, seeks an experienced litigation leader to own and direct the company’s disputes and investigations. You will shape strategy, supervise outside counsel, and build processes ensuring readiness across the organization.

You will collaborate with Product, Research, Engineering, and Compliance to translate legal risk into practical business guidance, while guiding executives through complex matters and safeguarding company assets.

Qualifications

• J.D. degree and bar admission in at least one U.S. state, with ability to practice in the role’s location.
• 12+ years of relevant litigation experience, combining law-firm practice with in-house experience at a technology company.
• Demonstrated capacity to lead complex matters, direct outside counsel, and advise senior leaders.

Responsabilités

• Lead litigation and dispute strategy across a broad portfolio.
• Develop case strategy, oversee discovery, briefing, and settlement decisions.
• Build and scale the litigation function with intake, escalation, budgeting, and reporting.
• Own litigation readiness, preservation, collection, and production in coordination with IT and research teams.
• Manage subpoenas, government demands, and information requests with governance in mind.
• Lead regulatory investigations and enforcement responses in collaboration with Product & Regulatory counsel.
• Advise on product and business risk related to training data, model development, and releases.
• Support internal investigations and provide clear recommendations to leadership.
• Develop cross-functional playbooks and training to improve matter management.
