Job summary

Reflection is seeking an experienced litigation leader to build and lead our litigation and investigations function. You will serve as the company's principal legal advisor on disputes and coordinate with outside counsel across IP, commercial, and regulatory matters.

You will combine strategic leadership with hands‑on execution, shaping strategy, managing discovery, and advising leadership on risk as Reflection scales.

Qualifications

• A J.D. and active membership in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar, with the ability to satisfy applicable requirements to practice in the role's location.
• ~12+ years of relevant litigation experience, combining law-firm and in-house exposure

Responsibilities

• Lead litigation and dispute strategy across IP, commercial, privacy, and regulatory matters.
• Develop case strategy, assess exposure, oversee discovery, and guide settlements and appeals.
• Build the litigation function with intake, escalation, budgeting, and reporting processes.
• Design and oversee discovery readiness, information governance with IT, security, and data teams.
• Manage subpoenas, government demands, and information requests.
• Lead regulatory investigations and coordination with Product & Regulatory counsel.
• Advise on product and business risk related to training data, model releases, and licensing.
