Job summary

Golden State Foods is seeking a Plant Liquid Product Operations leader to plan and direct all liquid product activities, ensuring quality, efficiency, cost control, safety, and customer satisfaction. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in food science or related area from an accredited vocational, technical or junior college institution
• 5 to 10 years of relevant work experience in a food-manufacturing environment with increasing management experience
• Knowledge of budgetary concepts, production/operations concepts, and food safety concepts is required

Responsibilities

• Plans, directs, and implements daily liquid products operations, developing and implementing standards, to achieve or exceed department and GSF objectives and to ensure compliance with regulatory and company guidelines.
• Directs assigned staff, including recruiting and selecting employees, assigning work, providing training and development, evaluating performance, and building a motivated team to meet diversity, career development, productivity and safety goals.
• Establishes and maintains strong relations with customers, vendors, and trade organizations to enhance GSF’s reputation and stay informed on industry information.
• Oversees auditing, evaluation, and analysis of procedures, safety, quality and efficiency, submitting reports for timely information.
• Coordinates weekly management review team meetings for analysis and decision-making.
• Participates in joint safety committees to address safety concerns.
• Recruits, hires and trains supervisors and managers as needed.
• Oversees the health of the business unit including finances, people, safety and quality.
