Job summary

Walden Mutual Bank in Concord, NH is seeking a senior leader to build and oversee our lending team focused on farms, food businesses, and impact‑oriented ventures. You will report to the CEO and work with Commercial & Risk leadership to drive long‑term resilience and growth.

You will set production goals, recruit and develop lending professionals, and guide underwriting and portfolio management across the loan life cycle.

Qualifications

Minimum 15–20 years in lending/credit, with food/agriculture experience.
Experience recruiting and developing lending teams and infrastructure.
Willingness to travel extensively within the region for internal/external purposes.
Bachelor’s degree or higher; advanced degree preferred.
Knowledge of government credit programs (SBA, USDA, etc.) and regulatory banking requirements.

Responsibilities

Develop, manage and own loan production growth metrics.
Recruit, develop and manage the Lending team across multiple sectors.
Create internal training for lending/credit officers.
Drive business development and pipeline across New England and New York, focusing on food/agriculture.
Underwrite loans in collaboration with Credit; enhance underwriting models.
Oversee portfolio management and ongoing relationship management.
