New Hampshire Community Loan Fund seeks a Business Development Officer for Farm & Food Lending to advance regenerative agriculture by building relationships across New England’s farming community and lending partners. You will shepherd borrowers through loan processes, develop underwriting insights, and manage ongoing borrower relationships.

Qualifications

• At least five years of relevant professional experience in farm or food systems, lending, advisory services, or business management.
• Experience understanding agriculture and food sectors in New England.
• Experience with credit risk evaluation and reading financial statements is preferred.
• Ability to coordinate across teams and manage multiple projects.

Responsabilités

• Cultivate relationships with producers, businesses, and other stakeholders to develop lending opportunities in NH and New England.
• Respond to loan inquiries, identify eligible applicants, and collect information to evaluate repayment capacity.
• Help determine which loan prospects go to underwriting and structure terms to fit needs and mission.
• Prepare clear credit memos outlining strengths and risks of loan applications.
• Manage borrower relationships with regular communication and support for non-performing loans.
