Job summary

Medica is seeking a Manager, Leaves and Disability Programs to lead the organization’s leave and disability portfolio. This role ensures compliance with federal, state, and local leave laws while delivering an exceptional employee experience throughout the leave lifecycle.

You will oversee vendor partnerships, process improvements, and cross-functional collaboration to align leave programs with payroll, benefits, and HR systems. A strong leader with expert regulatory knowledge is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years supporting leave of absence, disability, accommodations, benefits administration, or related programs.
• Knowledge of FMLA, ADA, USERRA, workers' comp, and state/local leave rules.
• Experience managing third-party administrators and vendor partnerships.
• Excellent communication and consultation skills with leaders and employees.

Responsibilities

• Lead Leave of Absence and Disability Programs and oversee administration of multiple leave types.
• Ensure consistent application of policies and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor legislative changes and implement program updates as needed.
• Lead the leave administration team to achieve objectives with compliance and employee focus.
• Manage vendor partnerships and SLAs with performance metrics.
• Coordinate with payroll, benefits, and HR systems for integrated processes.
• Provide guidance to leaders on leave administration and return-to-work practices.
