Job summary

Swooped is seeking a Head of IT to lead and scale its technology systems across multiple clinical locations and corporate operations. You will own the external technology stack, including identity, endpoints, clinic networks, enterprise applications, and the EHR, while partnering with internal engineering for integrations with the core platform.

As interim HIPAA Security Officer, you will direct the security program, automate support workflows, consolidate vendors, and guide safe AI adoption

Qualifications

• Proven leadership owning full IT stack across enterprise systems.
• Experience consolidating tools post-merger/acquisition.
• Experience with modern IT architectures (cloud identity, SSO, MFA, MDM, zero-trust).
• Hands-on HIPAA security program leadership, knowledge of SOC 2/HITRUST.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute organization-wide systems strategy including build/buy decisions.
• Lead integration across identity, endpoint, collaboration, networking, and applications; consolidate tools/vendors.
• Own enterprise EHR and clinical/business apps; partner with engineering to integrate with core platform.
• Ensure high availability of clinic hardware and patient-care devices across multi-site operations.
• Direct the enterprise security program as interim HIPAA Security Officer; manage risk, BAAs, incidents, audits.
• Establish AI-native service desk to automate onboarding, offboarding, access requests; optimize automation rate.
• Implement just-in-time access provisioning with audit trails for compliance.
• Establish governance for safe AI use with sensitive patient data.
• Lead, mentor and develop IT team; set operational standards and service excellence.
• Manage IT budget and vendor relationships to optimize per-user costs.
