Job summary

Hippocratic AI is seeking a Director of IT & Workplace for remote leadership to own our identity platform, endpoints, SaaS portfolio, and the physical workspace. You will manage budget, drive security/compliance programs, and integrate acquisitions while leading a small team to scale operations.

You will own IT controls for HIPAA, SOC 2, and incident response, and coordinate with Legal on data handling and retention. Remote-friendly, full-time role.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in IT, including hands-on administration or engineering and progressively senior ownership.
• 3+ years managing IT or workplace teams, including hiring and performance management.
• Proven ownership of IT functions through rapid growth and integrated acquisitions.
• Deep technical expertise across identity (Okta or similar), M365, Google Workspace, and networking.
• Experience as a named control owner in HIPAA, SOC 2, or HITRUST environments.
• Budget ownership and vendor negotiation experience.

Responsibilities

• Own a multi-year IT and workplace roadmap aligned with hiring plans and present to leadership.
• Forecast and defend IT and workplace budgets; optimize licenses, vendors, and facilities spend.
• Lead and grow the IT/workplace team; set expectations and develop career paths.
• Publish service levels for tickets, uptime, onboarding, and workplace turnaround, report to executives.
• Own identity platform (Okta), MDM baselines, and portfolio of SaaS apps with security controls.
• Oversee network for HQ and remote workforce, ensure redundancy and secure connectivity.
• Lead end-to-end programs: platform migrations, office buildouts, and integration of acquisitions.
• Serve as control owner for HIPAA, SOC 2, and customer security review programs.
