Elastic is seeking a Director of IT Engineering to lead a small, agile team focused on internal platform engineering. You will drive build-vs-buy decisions, set architectural standards, and deliver Elastic-native solutions across five focus areas.

You will collaborate with IT, Security, Finance, and Platform Engineering, mentor engineers, and own delivery roadmaps while maintaining high rigor and rapid execution at scale.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of software engineering experience.
• Experience leading small engineering teams.
• Hands-on with Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch, Kibana).
• Ability to define build-vs-buy strategies.
• Strong written communication to author architecture decisions.
