Job summary

insightsoftware is seeking a seasoned Director of Software Engineering to lead the Platform & Architecture vertical for the Equity Management portfolio. You will drive greenfield modernization of an Azure cloud-native equity platform while maintaining the core CEM application serving 1,200+ customers, including Fortune 100 broker relationships.

You will manage 4–6 teams, partner with Solution Architect, Product, and UX, and uphold delivery standards with candor to senior leadership.

Qualifications

12+ years in enterprise SaaS software engineering.
5+ years leading multiple managers or senior managers.
Proven track record delivering large cross-functional programs.
Bias toward rapid, reversible decisions and MVP approaches.
Strong executive communication and risk management skills.
Experience with AI-assisted development is a plus.

Responsibilities

Own modernization initiative delivery: plan, sequence, execute.
Partner with Solution Architect to translate direction into a delivery plan.
Drive Spec-Driven Development and AI adoption across teams.
Own Engineering and QA/Automation for modernization; collaborate with Product/UX.
Set delivery standards and manage cross-functional seams.
Maintain accountability across 4–6 teams and report to senior leadership.
Lead broker integrations and core CEM portfolio delivery for 1,200+ customers.
