Job summary

Aptiv Interconnect in San Marcos, CA seeks a Senior IT Manager to lead IT operations across multiple manufacturing sites. You will standardize IT processes, drive technology improvements, and align IT strategies with site goals.

You will manage a distributed team and report to the Senior Director of IT & Cybersecurity. Responsibilities include developing uniform policies, overseeing complex cross-site projects, monitoring KPIs for uptime and security, and ensuring compliant, cost-effective IT

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.
• 8–10 years of IT management experience, preferably in a multi-site manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Knowledge of NIST 800-171 standards and CMMC frameworks for compliance and audits.
• Experience creating standardized IT processes, policies, and protocols across multiple locations.
• Hands-on proficiency with network infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud computing, and enterprise systems.
• Experience with hypervisor technologies (VMware ESXi/vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V).
• Ability to align IT roadmaps with enterprise security programs and policies.
• Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills for in-person and remote site IT Managers.

Responsibilities

• Drive uniform IT operations across multiple sites by implementing standardized policies and procedures.
• Lead complex IT projects across sites, ensuring timely delivery and quality.
• Set and track KPIs for IT performance across sites (uptime, efficiency, security).
• Oversee budgets and ensure cost-effective technology utilization and licensing compliance.
• Partner with senior leadership to translate business needs into IT strategies.
• Foster cross-site collaboration and best-practice sharing among IT Managers.
• Build relationships with external vendors for cost-effective contracts and support.
• Mentor IT Managers and empower decision-making within defined parameters.
• Encourage adoption of new technologies to improve operational efficiency.
• Develop development programs for IT Managers to grow leadership capabilities.
