Job summary

Moog is seeking a Manager of Integration Engineering to lead a hands-on, player-coach team in Buffalo, NY. You will set technical direction, shape an early-stage integration catalog, and establish a standardized intake/prioritization process while coordinating with operating groups and Corp IT stakeholders.

You will balance people leadership with direct engineering contributions, mentor developers, manage vendor relationships, and ensure compliance with aerospace and defense regulations,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 6+ years of hands-on integration development experience: iPaaS, eQ, Azure Data Factory (or comparable app-to-app/ETL tooling), and IBM MQ Series (or comparable enterprise messaging).
• 3+ years of leading highly technical engineering teams, including third-party staff augmentation and federated delivery models.
• Demonstrated experience leading or mentoring other developers, whether in a formal management role or as a senior technical lead.
• Experience working directly with business stakeholders to gather requirements, set priorities, and communicate status and risk in non-technical terms.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across distributed, asynchronous, and batch integration patterns.
• Comfortable operating with limited documentation and building process and structure where none exists today.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across the team's integration platforms, including design review, code/config review, and troubleshooting escalations the individual developers can't resolve alone.
• Establish and maintain enterprise integration patterns and standards with observability, telemetry, logging, and monitoring embedded by design.
• Own and maintain a complete inventory of integrations and their business criticality, closing gaps in the catalog.
• Establish a consistent intake and prioritization process with a shared backlog across platforms.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for cross-functional stakeholders for planned work and production support.
• Cross-train developers and document runbooks to remove single points of failure.
• Manage day-to-day workload and provide coaching and performance feedback.
• Partner with the Integration Architect on platform strategy and modernization decisions.
• Ensure compliance with aerospace/defense regulations (CMMC, ITAR) and data handling requirements.
• Represent the team in program planning with realistic estimates and risk flags.
• Own vendor relationships, renewals, and license/capacity management with TCO and fit in mind.
• Establish SDLC practices (version control, code review, testing, env parity) and change management for production changes.
• Define SLAs/SLOs, run incident response, and report integration health to stakeholders.
