Job summary

Sonesta International Hotels is seeking a Housekeeping Director in New Orleans to lead all housekeeping and laundry operations across the property, driving cleanliness, service standards, and team performance. You will partner with Front Office, Engineering, and hotel leadership to exceed guest expectations and manage budgets and procurement.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive housekeeping, hotel operations, or hospitality leadership experience.
• Experience in directing housekeeping and laundry operations at a property or portfolio level.
• Strong knowledge of sanitation standards, OSHA regulations, and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead all housekeeping and laundry operations across guest rooms, suites, public areas, back-of-house spaces, and facilities.
• Recruit, train, coach, schedule, and develop housekeeping and laundry teams to ensure operational excellence and guest satisfaction.
• Ensure cleanliness, presentation, sanitation, and brand standards across the property.
• Monitor guest satisfaction, cleanliness scores, inspections, and service recovery to drive improvement.
• Collaborate with Front Office, Engineering, Operations, and hotel leadership to ensure seamless operations and guest readiness.
• Oversee room inspection programs, productivity, labor management, inventory, and departmental budgets.
• Manage supplies, equipment, vendor relationships, purchasing, and expenses for efficiency and profitability.
• Ensure compliance with sanitation standards, OSHA regulations, and safety policies.
