Job summary

The Housekeeping Manager at Highgate Hotels Fort Walton Beach is responsible for leading the Housekeeping Department with attentiveness, courtesy and efficiency, ensuring guests enjoy a clean, safe environment throughout their stay while managing expenses and service levels.

Key duties include supervising staff, conducting interviews, training per SOPs, maintaining inventory, coordinating with Engineering and Guest Services, and ensuring privacy and security in all areas.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of progressive hotel housekeeping experience, or a 4-year college degree.
• Supervisory experience required.
• Must be proficient in Windows and standard office tools.
• Excellent communication and multitasking abilities required.
• Ability to work long hours and lift/move items as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Housekeeping Department in a courteous, efficient manner.
• Supervise, coach, and discipline housekeeping staff per SOPs.
• Inspect rooms daily and ensure high standards of cleanliness.
• Maintain inventories and assist in purchasing supplies monthly/quarterly.
• Coordinate with Engineering and Guest Services to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Balance room status reports and assist in payroll and scheduling.
