Job summary

Highgate Hotels is seeking a Housekeeping Manager for The Keys Collection in Key West, FL. The role leads the housekeeping team, ensures guest room standards, and upholds Highgate's SOPs to deliver exceptional service.

You will coordinate daily operations, supervise staff, inspect rooms, and participate in staff training and safety procedures. This full-time, on-site position offers growth within a global hospitality group.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of progressive hotel experience or a 4-year degree in a related field.
• Supervisory experience required.
• Must be proficient in Windows, MS Excel and word processing.
• Long hours sometimes required.
• Medium work - frequent lifting up to 20-50 pounds.
• Effective verbal and written communication across all levels.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize departmental functions.

Responsibilities

• Ensure operation of the Housekeeping Department in an attentive, friendly, efficient and courteous manner.
• Respond to guest requests, problems, complaints and accidents with courtesy and efficiency.
• Motivate and coach Housekeeping personnel and ensure adherence to SOPs.
• Maintain training standards and oversee a regular cleaning program.
• Inspect rooms daily and supervise VIP room preparations with management.
• Balance room status and PMS reports; manage payroll and scheduling data.
• Maintain inventory levels for Housekeeping and Laundry supplies and place orders.
• Assist in department meetings and staff training; participate in MOD coverage.
