Job summary

Highgate Hotels, LP is seeking a Housekeeping Manager in Fort Walton Beach. You will oversee the housekeeping department, ensuring staff performance, cleanliness standards, and guest satisfaction while managing expenses.

You will lead interviews, train team members, and maintain compliance with corporate SOPs, MSDS, and safety guidelines. Shift coverage and busy periods require long hours and a hands-on supervisory approach.

Qualifications

• Must have supervisory experience
• Proficient in Windows, spreadsheets and word processing
• Long hours and demanding workload expected
• Experience in hotel housekeeping preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Housekeeping Department to deliver attentive and courteous service
• supervise staff, coach, and discipline according to SOPs
• maintain cleaning schedules, inspect guest rooms, and ensure VIP rooms are prepared
• control supplies and manage payroll hours for the department
• coordinate with Engineering on work orders and safety procedures
• conduct regular pre-shift meetings and train staff on standards
