The Atlas Hotel in Boston, operated by Highgate Hotels, LP, is seeking a Director of Housekeeping to lead the department on site at The Atlas. The role focuses on maintaining cleanliness, safety, and service excellence for guests while controlling costs and maximizing service levels.

Qualifikationen

• At least 3 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field; or a 4-year college degree and at least 1 year of related experience; or a 2-year college degree and 2+ years of related experience.
• Previous management experience required.
• Proficient in Windows, company-approved spreadsheets and word processing.
• Long hours sometimes required.

Aufgaben

• Respond to guest requests, problems, complaints and/or accidents with courtesy and follow up for satisfaction.
• Motivate, coach, counsel and discipline housekeeping staff according to SOPs.
• Maintain a regularly scheduled cleaning program and detailed position checklists.
• Balance and clear room status nightly; compare PMS reports and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare employee schedules according to forecast, payroll budget guidelines and productivity requirements.
• Manage vendor contracts and ordering of housekeeping supplies on a monthly or quarterly basis.
