Zusammenfassung

Viceroy Washington DC is seeking a Director of Engineering to lead a hotel engineering team and partner with the corporate office on regional projects. You will drive SOPs, safety, energy conservation, and preventative maintenance to maximize guest satisfaction and asset value.

You will maintain relationships with properties in the area, oversee audits, budgeting support, and stay current with industry trends, while ensuring Highgate standards and a courteous, service‑oriented approach.

Qualifikationen

• Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
• Heavy work – Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and /or 50 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
• Travel related to company business sometimes required.
• Ability to stand during entire shift.

Aufgaben

• 80% time focused on base hotel as Director of Engineering.
• Establish relationships with properties in the area and Corporate office.
• Develop and maintain SOPs and policies.
• Develop energy conservation initiatives and promote their use.
• Promote preventative maintenance activities throughout the organization.
• Promote operational safety throughout the organization.
• Advance the engineering discipline throughout the organization.
• Participate in conference calls and meetings regularly.
• Participate in training and mentoring programs to support other Directors.
• Conduct a minimum of 2 property audits using the standard Engineering audit format.
• Analyze products and processes and make recommendations for area and corporation.
• Assist budgeting and planning at all hotels in the area as needed.
• Stay up to date with industry trends.
• Comply with Highgate Hotel Standards and regulations to encourage safe operations.
• Maximize productivity, identify problems and implement solutions.
• Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times.
• Communicate effectively verbally and in writing with all employees and guests.
• Multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.
• Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a service-oriented manner.
• Attend required hotel meetings and trainings.
• Participate in M.O.D. coverage as required.
• Maintain regular attendance as per standards.
• Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including nametags.
