Job summary

Virgin Hotels Dallas is seeking an experienced Chief Engineer to lead the property’s maintenance team and ensure all hotel systems operate reliably. You will oversee repairs, preventive maintenance, and vendor coordination to support guest experiences.

You will manage budgets, train staff on safety procedures, inspects facilities, and respond to emergencies. Strong leadership, communication, and hands-on technical skills across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry are essential.

Qualifications

• Six or more years of progressive hotel or building management experience.
• Proven leadership and team-motivation abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Experience in safety, emergency procedures, and vendor coordination.

Responsibilities

• Review contracts and negotiate revisions with vendors and contractors.
• Plan, organize, and direct maintenance of structures and facilities.
• Prepare and submit budget estimates and cost tracking reports.
• Develop and implement quality control programs.
• Inspect projects for building and safety code compliance.
• Maintain communications with Home Office Team.
