Job summary

Virgin Hotels Dallas is seeking a hands-on Maintenance/Engineering Associate to keep guest rooms, meeting spaces, and public areas in top condition. Under the Director of Engineering, you will assist in upkeep, repairs, renovations, and general maintenance to ensure a safe, functional, and inviting environment for guests and teammates.

You will work with a team, communicate effectively, and enjoy a dynamic role with room for growth.

Qualifications

• Current, legal and unrestricted ability to work in the United States.
• Associate or Technical degree/Trade certification preferred.
• Previous experience working in a hotel engineering or maintenance role.
• Ability to compute accurate mathematical calculations.
• Clear and pleasantly communicate in English with guests and staff.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders for general repair within the required time frame to maintain hotel operations.
• Performs checks and inspections to aid upkeep and proactive maintenance.
• Responds quickly and courteously to guest needs to repair maintenance issues.
• Maintains tools, workspace and equipment in safe, clean condition to reduce accidents.
• Repairs/changes room locks for hotel and guest security.
• Repairs and adjusts electronic problems on hotel equipment (TVs, alarms, HVAC, etc.).
• Assists in maintaining safety equipment and emergency procedures.
• Uses computer systems to complete orders (e.g., ALICE).
• Maintains a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.
