Topbrassdallas is seeking an experienced Chief Engineer to oversee the engineering operations of a full-service hotel. The role combines hands-on maintenance with leadership, safety, and brand QA responsibilities.

The ideal candidate takes ownership of the property's physical condition, drives preventative maintenance, and collaborates across departments to ensure guest satisfaction and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Experience with hotel engineering, building maintenance, or facilities management.
• Hands-on maintenance background and willingness to perform repairs daily.
• Experience developing and managing preventative maintenance programs.
• Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair building systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage daily engineering operations with hands-on maintenance.
• Perform routine maintenance, repairs, painting, plumbing, electrical work as needed.
• Develop and maintain a preventative maintenance program for guest rooms and building systems.
• Diagnose and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities, inspections and servicing.
• Ensure property meets brand standards and QA requirements; support renovations.
• Lead, train, and mentor engineering staff; collaborate with other departments.
• Serve as Manager on Duty and provide coverage weekends/holidays as assigned.
