The Chief Engineer will manage exterior buildings, equipment in guest rooms, safety training, and capital projects, with skills in painting, HVAC, carpentry, and general troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of progressive hotel or building management experience.
• Clear concise written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Proven leadership skills.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Review contracts and negotiate revisions with vendors, consultants, clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
• Requisition supplies and materials for construction projects.
• Plan, organize, and direct maintenance of structures, facilities, and systems.
• Prepare and submit budget estimates and cost-tracking reports.
• Develop and implement quality control programs.
• Inspect projects for compliance with building and safety codes.
• Experience in managing utility systems and coordinating with Home Office Team.
