Job summary

Hotel Indigo West Chester is seeking a hands-on Chief Engineer to lead the maintenance department and safeguard the hotel’s engineering systems. You will oversee refrigeration, HVAC, fire protection, boilers, and power systems while directing staff and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

You will coordinate with department heads on budgets, schedule preventive maintenance, and manage emergency procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience in hotel maintenance or similar.
• Strong leadership and managerial skills.
• Knowledge of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire protection).
• Familiarity with codes, regulations, and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance, operation, and functionality of hotel engineering systems.
• Supervise maintenance staff, training, interviewing, and evaluating personnel.
• Coordinate budgets, emergency procedures, and renovations with department heads.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and brand standards; monitor safety procedures.
• Plan preventative maintenance programs and energy-conservation initiatives.
