Job summary

Cambria Hotel Philadelphia Downtown Center City, part of Pyramid Global Hospitality, seeks a Chief Engineer to lead the maintenance team and safeguard all mechanical systems. You will oversee repairs, preventive maintenance, and asset protection across a 223-room property with substantial meeting space.

Ideal candidates have technical training and supervisory experience, with the ability to read blueprints and operate EMS/Life Safety systems.

Qualifications

• Vocational or technical training preferred.
• Two years’ experience in a similar hospitality maintenance role.
• Previous supervisory experience.
• Ability to read HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing blueprints.
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
• Universal refrigerant license.
• Ability to read wire and schematic diagrams.
• Ability to properly use an electrical meter.
• Ability to walk, stand, reach, crouch, bend, push/pull throughout shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Respond to guest maintenance requests and resolve needs efficiently.
• Oversee maintenance department operations and staff.
• Manage hiring, training, and performance coaching of staff.
• Develop budgets and monitor capital plans.
• Coordinate with outside contractors and order parts.
