Job summary

BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee seeks a senior leader to guide the Facets and BlueCard platforms, overseeing multiple teams and ensuring stable production operations. You will shape strategic modernization and partner with stakeholders to deliver sustainable solutions.

The role requires deep healthcare payer knowledge, strong program management, and a proven ability to drive complex modernization initiatives across IT and business teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Sciences or equivalent experience.
• 8 years of extensive systems analysis, design and project management experience required.
• 3 years of management and/or leadership experience required.
• Strong healthcare payer operations knowledge.
• Application support leadership experience.
• Experience leading complex application support organizations.
• Experience managing vendor relationships.
• Experience driving modernization programs.
• Experience developing high-performing teams.
• Experience with Facets, Cognizant/TriZetto solutions, and the BlueCross BlueShield Association highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the teams responsible for BCBST's two core healthcare processing platforms: Facets and BlueCard ITS/Blue2.
• Oversee multiple teams supporting Facets and BlueCard operations.
• Ensure operational excellence and stability of critical production systems.
• Shape the future-state vision for platforms, teams, and technologies supporting BCBST's core business operations.
• Advance strategic modernization initiatives for Facets and BlueCard.
• Partner with business leaders, technology teams, vendors, and external stakeholders for successful delivery and long-term sustainability.
• Monitor and maintain adherence and compliance to quality standards.
• Oversee multiple application programming and analysis projects, including development, installation, and maintenance of application programs.
• Maximize staff contribution through professional growth and development to increase teamwork and meet business needs.
• Analyze applications to ensure systems meet business needs and specifications.
