Job summary

Blue Cross NC is seeking an experienced software engineering leader to design, develop, test and support complex on-premise and cloud-based software solutions in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

You will act as a technical expert, guiding agile teams, driving high-quality code, and delivering scalable, high-availability systems for payer processes including fulfillment, membership, billing, and enrollment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or advanced degree (where required).
• 8+ years of experience in related field.
• In lieu of degree, 10+ years of experience in related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead analysis, design and development of high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems.
• Provide technical leadership to IT team members and partners.
• Perform discovery to understand complex problems and execute assignments independently.
• Evaluate buy vs. build options and communicate with stakeholders.
• Stay current with technology trends and IT best practices.
• Lead project teams and coordinate work across departments.
