Job summary

Blue Cross NC is seeking a senior IT professional to lead design, development, testing and support of on-premise and cloud-based software solutions for healthcare payer systems. You’ll guide a fast-moving Agile team and serve as a technical expert across fulfillment, membership, billing and enrollment platforms.

Responsibilities include hands-on coding, technical leadership, discovery work, and evaluating buy vs. build options.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in related field.
• Bachelor's degree or advanced degree (where required).
• In lieu of degree, 10+ years of experience in related field.

Responsibilities

• Act as a technical expert leading analysis, design and development of high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems.
• Lead implementation and integration of healthcare payer solutions across fulfillment, membership, billing, and enrollment platforms.
• Independently write well-designed, testable code to support complex IT solutions.
• Provide technical leadership to other IT specialists to rapidly deliver solutions.
• Perform discovery to understand business problems and execute assignments.
• Evaluate buy vs. build options and provide recommendations.
• Analyze and resolve development and production issues and communicate to stakeholders.
• Stay current with technology trends and IT best practices.
