Job summary

Axon is seeking a senior Product Leader to own the strategy, definition, and execution of a new hardware-software platform. You will shape the vision, drive the roadmap, and partner with hardware, firmware, cloud, and GTM teams to move from prototype to large-scale deployment in public safety contexts.

You will lead a team of product managers, demanding credibility with engineering leaders and external partners, and you will communicate a clear, decisive product narrative to executives and field

Qualifications

• 10+ years in product management, with a track record of driving growth in technical product lines that combine hardware and software.
• Direct experience shipping both hardware and software products, and comfort owning the full device plus platform experience rather than one layer of it.
• Experience taking a new hardware product from 0 to 1, from early concept through launch and into market traction.
• 4+ years leading and building product teams, setting strategy that shipped and moved the business.
• Credibility with senior engineering leaders across embedded, firmware, and cloud domains, and the judgment to make trade-offs where field performance matters more than feature count.
• The ability to lead without formal authority, bringing executives, engineering, and external partners to one roadmap despite competing priorities.
• Strong written communication.

Responsibilities

• Own the multi-year product vision, strategy, and roadmap for a hardware-software platform.
• Define clear product requirements from field use-cases and translate them into executable plans.
• Lead trade-off decisions across performance, reliability, battery life, security and cost.
• Partner with hardware, firmware, cloud, design engineering and GTM teams to land deployments that scale.
• Hire, coach, and lead a team of product managers and set measurable outcomes.
• Define and report key adoption and reliability metrics to executives honestly.
