Arc Boat Company seeks a leader to own all physical engineering on consumer vessels, overseeing mechanical, electrical, and test teams at our Los Angeles headquarters. You will drive an integrated R&D function, set long-term design vision, and mentor a high-performing group through rapid production ramps.

The role demands strong technical depth, ownership mindset, and ability to move fast while maintaining quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field.
• Experience leading a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering.
• Clear written and verbal communication and people management.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a strong R&D function across multiple engineering disciplines.
• Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and test teams to ensure performance and objectives.
• Streamline processes to enable rapid product turns.
• Work with sales, service, production, product, and industrial design.
• Set long-term vision for Arc’s small vessel design engineering and guide decisions for sub-1MW powertrain.
• Lead core powertrain platform and compute and cross into commercial applications.
• Motivate the team to meet timelines without burnout.
