Job summary

Clay Labs is seeking a Workplace Experience Lead for our NYC HQ and global offices. You will own all workplace operations, including facilities management, space planning, and vendor relationships, across a 160,000 sq ft flagship space. This role blends operations, hospitality, and culture-building to enable teams to thrive.

You’ll lead a high-impact team, drive strategic improvements, and partner with SF and London colleagues to standardize processes while respecting local needs.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of workplace/facilities experience with demonstrated success leading an office of 250+ people.
• Experience leading large-scale office moves and relocations.
• Strong strategic thinking and long-term planning capabilities.
• Proven project management with multiple concurrent initiatives.
• Vendor agreements, contracts, and service-level management experience.
• Clear communication, collaboration with senior leadership, and cross-functional influence.
• Creativity in designing innovative workplace programs and experiences.

Responsibilities

• Own all workplace operations for Clay HQ, including facilities management and space planning for 160,000 sq ft.
• Lead by example, mentor the NYC workplace team, and establish best practices and norms.
• Oversee all facility operations: HVAC, electrical, plumbing, janitorial, security, access control, and maintenance.
• Manage landlord/builder relationships, vendors, and contract negotiations to ensure service levels.
• Plan space utilization, seating assignments, moves, and reconfigurations for future growth.
• Lead workplace services, kitchen/pantry management, meeting room tech, and front desk coordination.
• Ensure safety codes, fire safety, ADA compliance, and emergency response planning.
• Manage the workplace budget and identify cost-saving opportunities.
