Job summary

Waterworks is seeking a Director of Transportation and Logistics to partner with supply chain leaders and drive optimization of international and domestic routes. You will manage carriers, ensure service levels and safety, and oversee the transportation management system to control costs and improve efficiency.

The role requires leading a team, developing KPIs, collaborating with Procurement, Product Management, Finance and Sales, and staying ahead of regulatory changes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in logistics or related field.
• 7–10 years procurement experience in transportation and logistics management.
• At least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Experience managing international and domestic transportation networks.
• Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute transportation strategy for international and domestic routes.
• Manage logistics carriers and contracts; negotiate terms.
• Ensure carrier performance, service levels, and safety compliance.
• Oversee Transportation Management System (TMS) implementation and optimization.
• Analyze costs and identify opportunities to reduce expenses.
• Develop core KPIs and use TMS dashboards for metrics.
• Collaborate with procurement, product management, finance, and sales.
• Monitor industry trends and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Lead and mentor a team of transportation and logistics professionals.
• Other accountabilities as assigned.
