Job summary

Blattner Company is seeking a Procurement Manager-Gas Power Generation to lead end-to-end procurement delivery for assigned material categories on EPC projects. The role oversees PO execution, schedules procurement milestones, and mitigates delivery risk across multiple projects, while guiding a team of buyers.

New leader will coordinate with Engineering and Project Management, travel 15–25%, and ensure alignment with construction sequences and supplier performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in construction project delivery, procurement, or project engineering on gas-fired power generation projects.
• 2–3 years of leadership experience.
• Ability to travel estimated at 15–25% (project sites, supplier facilities, Avon/Blattner campus).

Responsibilities

• Creates and/or oversees the creation of all key initial POs at award for assigned material categories.
• Develops and maintains a Material Procurement Schedule for assigned projects, mapping each trade package to its milestones.
• Identifies long-lead items requiring procurement action; coordinates pre-order timing discussions with Engineering and Project Management.
• Directs and coaches Buyers to ensure structured expediting is consistently executed.
• Maintains tracking of promised vs actual delivery performance across the category portfolio.
• Escalates complex or high-risk procurement or delivery issues and owns resolution.
