Job summary

Churchill Downs Incorporated is seeking a Director of Gaming Ops to lead the Gaming Department and ensure an optimal guest experience across a 24-hour operation in Louisville. You will oversee gaming operations, HRM performance, staffing, and financial results while maintaining strict regulatory compliance.

The role requires coordinating with regulators, managing equipment and software projects, and guiding team development through coaching and reviews.

Qualifications

• Seven to ten years of experience in a multi-device 24-hour gaming operation.
• Experience collecting, organizing, evaluating, and presenting gaming performance data.
• Experience with a Historical Horse Racing System or similar network system is a plus.
• Experience using Aristocrat Oasis Accounting System is a plus.
• Ability to obtain a valid Racing License.
• Ability to obtain a valid Sportsbook License.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Gaming Operations and optimize HRM performance through effective floor management.
• Review staffing levels to maintain appropriate employment levels; manage payroll impact.
• Review and manage the department’s financial results to drive profitability.
• Ensure compliance with all gaming regulations and the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).
• Coordinate with regulators and hardware/software manufacturers on projects and initiatives.
