Job summary

McClure is seeking a Controller to lead the Finance function, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong controls, and scalable processes. You will partner with the COO and executive team to provide strategic insight, build models, and guide budgeting and forecasting for growth.

The role blends hands-on accounting with senior-level leadership, driving efficiency, cash management, and cross-functional collaboration across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
• Experience leading accounting operations and financial reporting.
• Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and internal controls.
• Demonstrated leadership experience with direct reports and team development.
• Advanced Excel and financial systems expertise.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the COO and leadership to provide financial insight.
• Translate financial data into actionable recommendations for decisions.
• Develop financial models to support investments, hiring, profitability, and improvements.
• Identify financial risks and opportunities and recommend actions.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting activities.
• Prepare and review financial statements and reports.
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes.
• Ensure integrity of general ledger and records.
• Coordinate annual audits and tax engagements.
• Provide reporting on performance, backlog, profitability, and cash flow.
• Lead annual budgeting process; develop forecasts.
• Monitor cash flow and liquidity; manage banking relationships.
• Establish strong internal controls; ensure compliance.
• Lead, coach, and develop Finance team.
• Streamline processes and improve reporting automation.
