Job summary

The Vortex Companies, LLC is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead multiple civil construction projects in New Jersey. You will manage schedules, budgets, and quality standards while directing field teams and subcontractors to deliver on time and within scope.

Responsibilities include overseeing safety programs, mentoring project staff, and coordinating with accounting and leadership to forecast financial performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is an asset (engineering, business).
• 7–10 years of experience in civil construction in a leadership role.
• Strong communication and organizational skills; proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and expense management.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and manage multiple construction projects from start to finish, ensuring adherence to schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
• Review project schedules, budgets, and progress to ensure timely and cost-effective completion.
• Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure contract compliance.
• Resolve conflicts, delays, or operational challenges as they arise.
• Supervise and support superintendents and field staff; provide coaching, mentoring, and performance evaluations.
• Lead, mentor, and develop project managers, site supervisors, and field staff.
