Job summary

The Vertex Companies, LLC is seeking a Project Manager to assist the Managing Consultant with execution of tasks, producing high-quality work, and coordinating with team members. The role supports the entire practice area and demonstrates our core values of empowerment, learning, and creativity.

Frequent travel to job sites in New York and New Jersey is required. You will help manage budgets, utilization targets, and ensure top-tier service delivery while mentoring team members and maintaining

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree and 5 years of related experience, a Master's degree and 3 years of related experience, or 8 years of related experience and no degree.
• Solid Construction Project Management experience.
• Familiarity with housing, retail and commercial design or construction.
• Construction related professional qualifications such as AC, CPC, LEED AP, PE, PMP, RA, RICS, etc. preferred.
• Exceptional problem solving, prioritization, organizational, and multi-tasking skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and assess complex information for accuracy and risk on high-profile projects to ensure quality and timely delivery of a wide scope of services.
• Complete plan and cost reviews, site observations, property condition reports, and internal quality control reviews.
• Conduct due diligence for proposed developments.
• Perform construction project management and lead project meetings.
• Support business development and client relations.
• Complete presentations and conduct research.
• Support senior leadership on projects and company initiatives.
• Travel locally and nationally, including overnight stays.

Education

Bachelor's degree and 5 years of related experience, or Master's degree and 3 years of related experience, or 8 years of related experience

Strong construction project management experience

Excellent written, mathematical, and grammatical skills

Highly articulate interpersonal skills with ability to interact at all levels

Analytical and problem-solving skills
