Job summary

Legends Global in Columbus, Ohio is seeking a Facility Manager to provide operational oversight across all repair and maintenance activities for our large public assembly environment at the Greater Columbus Convention Center. You will lead a diverse team, manage major service contracts, and drive cost‑effective facility operations.

The role requires five years of supervisory facility management experience, strong budgeting and scheduling skills, and the ability to interpret blueprints.

Qualifications

• Two or four-year degrees in engineering or technical discipline, or a minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a supervisory capacity in physical plant, or prior facility management position.
• Minimum five years’ experience in the operation of a large public assembly, hotel, or other commercial facility.
• Experience supervising multiple workflows with minimal instruction and crisis management.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and construction specifications.

Responsibilities

• Recruits, supervises, trains, and manages employee performance across departments.
• Manages major facility service contracts, including HVAC and elevators/escalators.
• Develops and trains staff to maintain technical competency.
• Schedules staff, monitors labor hours, and prepares payroll reports.
• Oversees utility use and procurement to maximize cost savings.
• Coordinates quotes and scopes of work for maintenance and repairs.
