Job summary

Benchmark Senior Living is seeking an experienced Director of Plant Operations to oversee maintenance and housekeeping in a Marlboro-area assisted living facility. The role combines hands-on technical work with administrative responsibilities, including staffing, payroll, expenses, and capital projects.

The position requires strong supervisory skills, knowledge of building systems (electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC), and compliance with life safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Experience managing maintenance and housekeeping in a long-term care or assisted living facility.
• Strong knowledge of building systems (mechanical/electrical/plumbing, HVAC).
• Experience in facilities management capacity.
• Excellent communication and supervisory skills.
• Understanding life safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate repairs and alterations to buildings and equipment.
• Provide technical support and QA guidance.
• Establish and monitor a preventive maintenance program.
• Maintain OSHA and fire code compliance.
• Oversee staff payroll, expenses, and capital expenditures.
• Lead maintenance and housekeeping department.
