The position emphasizes safety, regulatory compliance, preventative maintenance, and managing expenses while delivering quality resident care.

Qualifications

• Understand life safety regulations and codes.
• Experience leading maintenance and housekeeping in long-term care or assisted living.
• Background in facilities management and building systems.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Knowledge of mechanical/electrical/plumbing systems with emphasis on HVAC.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate repairs and alterations to buildings and equipment.
• Provide technical guidance and quality assurance.
• Set up and monitor a preventative maintenance program.
• Maintain OSHA and fire code compliance.
• Oversee staff, payroll, operating expenses, and capital expenditures.
• Lead maintenance/properties department in a long-term care facility.
• Ensure building systems (mechanical/electrical/plumbing) are well maintained.
