Job summary

QTS Realty Trust seeks a Manager, Facilities Operations Engineering Commissioning to oversee commissioning and continuous improvement for sites in a regional scope across the United States. The role drives coordination of connectivity, electrical/mechanical subsystems, and building automation, with 30-50% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of direct engineering experience in critical environments (data centers, hospitals, or industrial settings).
• Experience leading commissioning teams and cross-functional projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage the commissioning team(s) in assigned region, develop capabilities and engage employees.
• Oversee travel budgets and ensure compliance with organizational expenditure requirements.
• Direct witness testing of equipment during commissioning and validate documentation.
• Develop comprehensive commissioning plans for multiple system levels and coordinate with project departments.
• Drive continuous improvement, vendor oversight, and quality/compliance initiatives.
