Job summary

Jump Trading Group is seeking a facilities leader to own maintenance, operations, and performance of our New York offices, ensuring reliability of infrastructure and the wellbeing of employees.

This role drives facilities strategy across locations, leads internal and external teams, and manages vendors for ongoing operations and a 100,000 sq ft future build‑out, coordinating with IT, Security, Operations and Legal to keep critical trading infrastructure highly reliable.

Qualifications

• 10-15+ years of facilities management, building operations, or workplace infrastructure, preferably in an office with mission‑critical systems.
• Direct experience operating a 50,000+ sq ft commercial NYC office (Class A/B) incl. HVAC, MEP, life‑safety, base building coordination.
• 2–3+ years of management experience leading a high‑performing team.
• Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, UPS, HVAC/cooling equipment, fire suppression, and transfer switches.
• Proven multi‑vendor portfolio ownership, budgeting, scheduling, and contract negotiation.
• Solid knowledge of NYC building codes, FDNY/OSHA requirements, energy standards.
• Familiarity with building management systems (Schneider EcoStruxure preferred).
• IT systems support for trading ops, plus MS Office, Jira, and Confluence.

Responsibilities

• Own daily performance, availability, and reliability of all office and critical facility systems.
• Lead preventative and corrective maintenance programs, drills, and tests to prevent downtime.
• Act as escalation point for critical events and drive rapid incident response.
• Build and develop a team of supervisors, engineers, and technicians.
• Oversee hiring, onboarding, performance management, and succession planning.
• Manage relationships with building management and vendors, run RFPs and contract negotiations.
• Schedule and supervise outsourced maintenance, upgrades, and moves.
• Provide in‑house expertise on office maintenance, renovations, and new leases/subleases.
• Lead compliance with fire/building codes, FDNY/OSHA, Local Law; maintain records.
• Manage facilities budget and capex, identify automation opportunities, scale SOPs globally.
• Participate in design of a new 100,000 sq ft office for a seamless facilities program.
• Respond to service tickets and coordinate staff workloads.
• Collaborate with Workplace, IT, Security, Operations, and Legal to keep critical trading infrastructure reliable.
• Perform handyman duties as needed and coordinate office moves.
