Job summary

Gartner, Inc. is seeking a Manager of Event Technology & AV Operations to lead planning, execution, and continuous improvement of AV services for Executive Programs events.

You will own technology strategy, vendor relationships, labor planning, budgeting, and onsite leadership to deliver exceptional attendee experiences. Ideal candidates bring five years in event operations or AV production, with proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and complex budgets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in events, operations, or related field.
• Experience leading vendors, contractors, project teams, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Strong project management, organizational, and decision-making skills.
• Advanced knowledge of Audio Visual systems and onsite event execution.
• Excellent communication and leadership capabilities.
• Ability to manage multiple complex priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of AV and event technology services across multiple events with high-quality attendee experiences.
• Train and develop AV Project Managers, freelancers, vendors, and labor partners while ensuring accountability and standards.
• Manage vendor relationships, labor planning, equipment logistics, inventory, and event budgets to improve efficiency and control costs.
• Develop event execution plans, timelines, standards, and scalable processes aligned with growth.
• Collaborate with Conference Managers, Directors, Content, Production teams, hotels, and vendors to resolve operational challenges.
• Provide onsite leadership during setup, rehearsals, live delivery, and strike, solving issues in real time.
