Job summary

Gartner seeks a Manager for Event Technology & AV Operations to lead the planning, execution, and continuous improvement of AV services across Gartner Executive Programs events. You will oversee budgets, vendors, labor planning, and onsite leadership to deliver high-quality attendee experiences.

The role requires 5+ years in event operations or AV production, strong leadership and stakeholder management, and the ability to travel frequently.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 5 years of experience in event operations, AV production, or related field.
• Experience leading vendors, contractors, project teams, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Experience managing event budgets, labor planning, logistics, and operational resources.
• Strong project management, organizational, and decision-making skills.
• Advanced knowledge of Audio Visual systems, live event production, and onsite execution.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple complex priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable working from Gartner's Carrollton warehouse and office location regularly.
• Ability to travel extensively, including lead AV PM for ~7+ events annually.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of AV and event technology services across multiple events.
• Train, develop AV Project Managers, freelance personnel, vendors, and labor partners.
• Manage vendor relationships, labor planning, equipment logistics, and budgets.
• Develop event execution plans, timelines, and scalable processes.
• Collaborate with Conference Managers, Directors, Content and Production teams, hotels, and vendors.
• Serve as onsite operational lead during setup, rehearsals, live delivery, and strike.
